Get Ready for a Pawsome Mardi Gras Celebration: The Inaugural Paw-Di Gras Parade!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 2, because the Cahaba Heights Merchants Association is throwing a festive celebration like no other! Get ready to unleash the fun at the first-ever Paw-Di Gras Parade, where pets and their humans can strut their stuff in style while supporting a great cause. This exciting event is sponsored by Cahaba Mountain Brook Animal Clinic and Club Canine, with all proceeds benefiting the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

Join Us for a Tail-Wagging Adventure!

Starting at 3:30 PM, the Paw-Di Gras Parade will kick off at Meadowlawn Park and make its way to the Regions parking lot at Heights Village. For just $25 per household, you can register your furry friend to take part in the parade, and each registered pup will receive a fabulous Mardi Gras bandana to show off their festive spirit. Remember, safety first—each dog must be leashed, and we can’t wait to see all the creative costumes and decorations you come up with!

But that’s not all! Each pup will also be treated to a special surprise at the end of the parade, courtesy of Cahaba Mountain Brook Animal Clinic. Plus, when you register, you’ll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a free bath and groom, as well as a three-day punch card for Club Canine Daycare—talk about a win-win!

Meet Our Grand Marshal: Marlie!

We’re thrilled to announce that Cahaba Heights Elementary’s beloved facility dog, Marlie, will serve as the Grand Marshal for our parade! Marlie embodies the spirit of community and joy, and we can’t wait to see her lead the pack down the parade route.

A Celebration for Everyone

After the parade, the festivities don’t stop! Join us for a family-friendly celebration filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and fun activities for all ages. Enjoy live music on Troup's patio, savor delightful treats from the Doodles truck—offering sorbet and Italian ice—and let your kids unleash their creativity with face painting! Ur Pooper Scooper will have a fun interactive activity center that will be sure to drum up some fun!

Support a Great Cause

By participating in the Paw-Di Gras Parade, you’re not just having a fantastic time with your furry friend; you’re also helping animals in need. All proceeds will support the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, making a positive impact on the lives of countless pets in our community.

Even better, Ur Pooper Scooper will donate $25 to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society for anyone that signs up for a membership through Monday, March 3!
